Chippendale Mirror Project Plan

This Chippendale mirror uses a wide range of woodworking skills, from basic design and layout to veneering and scrollwork. The piece has a visible mitered frame that sits on top of a poplar subframe. You'll learn how to surround the frame with decorative veneered attachments, and use a scrollsaw to shape the ornamental crests and ears. The piece can be finished with a non-grain-raising burnt umber dye, followed by garnet shellac.
